    Artist : Corinne Tichadou

Inspiration: In this work, Corinne Tichadou revisits the mythical figure of Ulysses, the eternal traveller. The hero is depicted standing, barefoot, draped in an ornate cloak, holding a staff. His posture, both dignified and introspective, evokes wandering, acquired wisdom, and return. The style blends stylized figuration with raw textures, creating a timeless and poetic atmosphere.
Lhe textured background, in grey-white tones, seems to evoke a patinated wall or a surface worn by time, reinforcing the antique and mythological aspect of the character. Suggested shapes, such as an owl or a vase, float in the background, adding a dreamlike touch.
The style combines abstraction and figuration with thick textures, raw touches, and a reduced but expressive palette.

     Corinne Tichadou

    France

Corinne Tichadou is a female painter working and living in Beziers, Southern France. Her painting is contemporary, figurative, mythological, biblical, allegorical and contemplative. It weaves links between the past and the present. Through mythology, tales, theatre, opera, biblical stories and her love for Italian Renaissance painting, she seeks timelessness as a philosophy. She paints the human being and questions it about its relationship to the world: to love, to family, to its courage, to its destiny, to its place in society.
