Inspiration: This drawing by Tichadou gives off an atmosphere that is both poetic and slightly nostalgic. It depicts a group of dark trees with stylized shapes, probably umbrella pines, standing on grey-brown soil. Their slender and slender silhouette contrasts with the density of their foliage, almost abstract, painted in black and brown. In the background, a turquoise band evokes the sea, adding a bright and refreshing touch to the composition. On this horizon line appear three small coloured elements, probably parasails (or kitesurfing sails), in purple, yellow and blue, which bring a light and contemporary dynamic to the work. The sky is treated with soft, blurred, almost hazy tones, and appears slightly textured, which reinforces the dreamlike aspect of the scene.
The whole evokes a Mediterranean beach seen through the prism of memory or dreams, between frozen nature and discreet movement.

Corinne Tichadou
France
Corinne Tichadou is a female painter working and living in Beziers, Southern France. Her painting is contemporary, figurative, mythological, biblical, allegorical and contemplative. It weaves links between the past and the present. Through mythology, tales, theatre, opera, biblical stories and her love for Italian Renaissance painting, she seeks timelessness as a philosophy. She paints the human being and questions it about its relationship to the world: to love, to family, to its courage, to its destiny, to its place in society.
