Inspiration: This series of drawings painted on the pages of old political and literary annals by Corinne Tichadou was the subject of a book entitled Meditations. This work explores dazzling landscapes where the existing figures of the leaves can stand out, including mythological characters, allegorical scenes, angels and saints, circus or fantasy animals, wrestlers, mermaids, jars and vessels, flowers, Madonnas or nativities. Themes that are familiar in the artist’s work but which are manifested here in an instinctive and offbeat way, to show a singular and philosophical aesthetic landscape.
