Inspiration:
The Two Jellyfish” is a continuation of his refined marine universe, where shapes that are both organic and graphic float silently. On a patinated grey-blue background, with subtle textures evoking the silent depths of the water or an old marine parchment, two jellyfish appear side by side, as if in dialogue or dance. Their dark, ribbed umbels, with soft but precise contours, let out sinuous, almost calligraphic filaments that are lost in space. The whole is imbued with softness and mystery. The composition is balanced, almost symmetrical, reinforcing the idea of a duo in slow motion, suspended in a timeless space. The slightly stained and irregular background brings a poetic and organic dimension, reminiscent of the effect of salt, time or living matter. The frame, with its dark finish and discreet raised patterns, perfectly matches the meditative tone of the work. It frames without dominating, leaving all its room for the lightness of the forms.

Corinne Tichadou
France
Corinne Tichadou is a female painter working and living in Beziers, Southern France. Her painting is contemporary, figurative, mythological, biblical, allegorical and contemplative. It weaves links between the past and the present. Through mythology, tales, theatre, opera, biblical stories and her love for Italian Renaissance painting, she seeks timelessness as a philosophy. She paints the human being and questions it about its relationship to the world: to love, to family, to its courage, to its destiny, to its place in society.
