Inspiration: The work “Three Jellyfish” by Tichadou presents a refined marine scene, imbued with delicacy and mystery. Three jellyfish, aligned with a certain regularity but each with singular movements, float in a bare and silent space, treated in beige and light brown tones. Their design is fine, almost calligraphic: the dark, densely textured umbels contrast with the fluid, twisted filaments that descend like underwater arabesques. The subtle variation in the posture of each jellyfish suggests a slow choreography, as if suspended in a tranquil depth. The neutral background, almost sandblasted or parchmented, highlights the finesse of the line and evokes a timeless space, between water and dream.
Finally, the richly decorated frame with embossed floral motifs, black and patina, adds a baroque contrast to the airy lightness of the jellyfish. This dialogue between the simplicity of the subject and the opulence of the setting accentuates the contemplative and poetic value of the work.

Corinne Tichadou
France
Corinne Tichadou is a female painter working and living in Beziers, Southern France. Her painting is contemporary, figurative, mythological, biblical, allegorical and contemplative. It weaves links between the past and the present. Through mythology, tales, theatre, opera, biblical stories and her love for Italian Renaissance painting, she seeks timelessness as a philosophy. She paints the human being and questions it about its relationship to the world: to love, to family, to its courage, to its destiny, to its place in society.
