Pascal Cerchi was born in France in 1965.
Born into a childhood spent between Antibes and Tehran, Pascal Cerchi studied interior architecture at the Camondo school in Paris. A three-year journey to India marked a turning point. Upon his return, he exhibited paintings and drawings before his encounter with the Swiss sculptor Noelle Favre led him to sculpture. From then on, alabaster became his life’s work. Working with the very material of its blocks, the artist seeks to reveal their hidden sculptures: thus emerges a bestiary of vestiges, symbols, and excavated objects, as if unearthed from the stone. Pascal Cerchi lives and works in Burgundy.
