Inspiration: Aline of stylized trees by the sea depicted with thin and sinuous trunks, almost trembling, as if animated by an invisible breath. Their bushy, dark foliage is rendered by quick and tangled strokes, accentuating a sense of movement or tension. The ground is vague, almost liquid, and the bluish horizon line still evokes a body of water, suggesting the proximity of the sea. The general atmosphere is more hazy, almost ghostly, with an ochre and light grey background. This muted palette, combined with the nervous silhouettes, gives the scene a melancholic poetry, like a blurred memory or a dream.

Corinne Tichadou
France
Corinne Tichadou is a female painter working and living in Beziers, Southern France. Her painting is contemporary, figurative, mythological, biblical, allegorical and contemplative. It weaves links between the past and the present. Through mythology, tales, theatre, opera, biblical stories and her love for Italian Renaissance painting, she seeks timelessness as a philosophy. She paints the human being and questions it about its relationship to the world: to love, to family, to its courage, to its destiny, to its place in society.
