Designer: An extraordinary personality of the twentieth century, Willy Rizzo (1928–2013) began his career as a press and fashion photographer, capturing the artistic, cultural and social elite of his time. From the 1960s onwards, this sharp look at luxury and staging nourished an immediately recognisable world of furniture: clean lines, precious materials, lacquered surfaces, smoked glass and metal make up a theatrical décor, between modernity and glamour. At the crossroads of design, interior architecture and lifestyle, Willy Rizzo’s creations embody the elegant and bold aesthetic of the 1970s, now sought after by collectors.
“The TRG was created in 1969 for the interior design of Gigi Cassini’s apartment in Palazzo Torlonia. The room was round, so I created a round table. »
