Pair of armchairs designed by Italian designer Silvio Cavatorta in the 1950s. After a meticulous restoration, these armchairs now offer a comfortable foam upholstery, upholstered in sumptuous velvet from the prestigious Elitis house. They sit elegantly on a patinated brass base, adding a touch of refinement to their design.

    Silvio Cavatorta, born in 1900 in Bologna, is an eminent Italian designer. Deeply influenced by Art Deco, this movement strongly influenced his future creations. In the 1930s, he founded his own workshop, quickly becoming famous for his patinated brass furniture, which became his signature. His groundbreaking work earned him prestigious awards, including the Compasso d’Oro Award in 1955, in recognition of his creative genius. Among his emblematic creations were the “Futura” lamp and the “Eleganza” chair, which fused elegance and functionality. Silvio Cavatorta remains a key figure in twentieth-century Italian design.

    Emmanuelle Vidal is an antique dealer in Toulouse, specializing in design from the 50s, 60s and 70s. Charlotte Perriand, Pierre Guariche, Le Corbusier, Ico Parisi, Pierre Paulin, Charles Eames… Tirelessly hunting down the creations of the masters of the 20th century, she then exhibited in various salons in Paris, Toulouse, Bordeaux, Antibes, Saint-Tropez and opened her gallery in 1997 in Toulouse.
