Inspiration: With Wolf are you there?, Yves Pagart brings out of the zinc sheet the furtive and tense silhouette of the wolf, an animal that is both real and deeply inscribed in the collective imagination. Through a work of cutting, assembly and patina, the metallic material is transformed into an almost furtive presence, as if captured in a moment of passage. The brown patina accentuates the depth of the surface and recalls the hues of the earth and the forest, giving the sculpture a dimension that is both wild and timeless. The refined design of the form suggests the movement and vigilance of the animal, an emblematic figure of stories and nocturnal landscapes.
