Inspiration: In this sculpture, Yves Pagart evokes the mythological figure of the Minotaur through a formal language reduced to the essentials. The body unfolds in powerful, arched lines, while the circular head, crossed by angular volumes, suggests the tension between humanity and animality.
The warm patina of the zinc recalls the depth of ancient earth and gives the whole an archaic presence. Faithful to his sculptural approach, Pagart transforms the metallic material into a symbolic figure, both an interior monument and a silent guardian of myths.
