Inspiration: In this sculpture, Yves Pagart transforms the zinc sheet into an animal presence that is both powerful and silent. The Grand Cerf, an ancestral figure of the European forests, appears here as a tutelary spirit: slender, almost hieratic, he seems to emerge from the material itself.
The metalwork, patinated with a deep green bronze, captures the light and evokes the skin of time, between mineral and vegetal. The taut lines of the silhouette and the breadth of the woods give the animal an almost mythological dimension, like a guardian of wild landscapes.
At the crossroads of sculpture and artistic craftsmanship, Yves Pagart reveals all his poetry in this unique piece, where the raw strength of the material blends with graphic elegance.
Edition: One-of-a-kind, signed piece
