Inspiration : “Nothing makes sense anymore, nothing goes anymore, Everything is chaos” These bewitching lyrics of Disenchanted by French artist Mylène Farmer perfectly sum up the emotion I wanted to transcribe through this collection. It embodies a deep sense of decline, as if the world were falling apart, hanging by a fragile thread, a vision of fallen glory and inevitable collapse. To accentuate this effect, I chose solid oak as the main material, pushing its texture to the extreme. The wood has been burned and brushed repeatedly, with each step reinforcing its irregular, time-scarred appearance. The result evokes the feeling of an artifact that has gone through countless lives, exhumed from the ashes of forgotten eras. The bronze legs, as always hand-sculpted, are enhanced by a delicate gradient that gives the illusion of floating, infusing the piece with a palpable tension. Together, these elements transform the object into a visceral testimony to the impermanence of all things.” William Guillon
