TRAVEL DIARIES, AN EXHIBITION TO DISCOVER FROM MAY 25 TO JULY 13, 2023
As summer approaches, Antoine Vignault invites us on a journey around a series of unpublished church drawings signed Sylvie Peyneau .
Begun during a trip to the south of Portugal in 2022, the series entitled “My churches” accompanies the artist Sylvie Peyneau in a singular tête-à-tête. The sunlight captured by the white lime of the sacred buildings had captivated her. Hypnotic masses as detached from the ground. These modest facades, alternately white then illuminated with gold under the fiery solar rays and finally sepia in the conflagration of the evening, deliver their power of appeasement and wonder.
The gallery also hosts sisal tapestries and garden pots by the artists of Studio OAK, poetic furniture from Rohuna Gardens by Umberto Pasti, the shell clouds of Sophie Brillouet, les céramiques de Béatrice Garrigo et de Dainche, les sculptures fonctionnelles d’Yves & Benjamin Pagart, Hoon Moreau ou encore Clotilde Ancarani.
A décor enriched with new vintage collector’s items by Emmanuelle Vidal , Antique dealer specialized in design from the 50s to 80s: Gio Ponti, Angelo Mangiarotti, Mithé Espelt, Paul Mc Cobb or Gaetano Pesce.
