Inspiration: “For this series entitled Peregrinations, the idea was to transcribe memories of walks, visits to places in the south of France. A universe where the expression of these sometimes blurred memories mingles with romanticized images that are expressed via muted tones. A precise moment when it is no longer daylight but not yet quite night. Between dream and reality.” Rémy Allamand
In this nocturnal landscape, the massive silhouette of a building stands on the edge of the shadows, while three slender cypresses stand out against a cloud-laden sky. The light, diffuse and uncertain, bathes the scene in a sepia tone that evokes both memory and premonition. The contrast between the verticality of the trees and the opacity of the architecture produces a silent tension, as if suspended in time. Faithful to his universe, Rémy Allamand works on the ambiguity between presence and erasure, suggesting an atmosphere that is both meditative and disturbing.
