WHAT REMAINS TO BE SAID
Gibus and Maryi open the 2026 program of the OAK Gallery with an exhibition conceived as a field of experimentation, where the works dialogue, respond to each other and transform each other.
At the beginning of this year, the OAK Gallery resonates with ENTRE LES LIGNES, Gibus’ sculptural solo show at the Institut
Catholique de Toulouse, prolonging a reflection on the essential and what persists when the word withdraws.
Conceived as an inaugural time, this exhibition at the OAK gallery brings together two artistic approaches that explore the relationship between process, matter and perception.
Within this duo show, Gibus’ work unfolds as an exploration of gesture and matter, where staging and tension build a rigorous visual language. His works establish a physical relationship with space, inviting the eye to circulate between density, rhythm and silence. In dialogue with Maryi’s delicate and abstract universe, Gibus’ practice asserts a narrative and expressive presence, opening up a field of sensitive resonances.
Maryi’s unpublished collages, conceived as spaces of silence and tension, extend the monographic experience of ICT. Fragments of paper, superimpositions, suspended lines and erasure zones make up a common language where the image does not impose itself, but allows itself to be approached.
An exhibition proposed by Antoine Vignault among an exclusive selection of furniture by contemporary artists and pieces of design from the twentieth century selected by Emmanuelle Vidal.
