Hoon Moreau exhibits at the Korean Cultural Center
On the occasion of its 30th anniversary, the Sonamou Artists’ Association, one of the largest and most prestigious Korean artists’ associations founded in 1991, has chosen the Korean Cultural Center to inaugurate a special exhibition celebrating thirty years of artistic activities.
This large-scale exhibition showcases the works of proven proven visual artists, such as Kwun Sun-cheol, Chong Jae-kyoo, Kwak so-young, Hoon Moreau, Lee Bae and a few others. Between paintings, photos, videos and installations, the public will be able to admire during this retrospective a whole range of works retracing the history of Sonamou, from its beginnings to today. Like the Korean pine (sonamou), deeply rooted and robust in the face of the passing seasons, the artists of the association perpetuate the tradition of an art imbued with creative emotions.
Hoon Moreau, French-Korean painter, sculptor and designer
Born in Seoul in 1967, Hoon Moreau is a multidisciplinary artist graduated from the Seoul School of Fine Art and the Camondo School of Architecture in Paris. For more than 20 years, this dual competence has offered him numerous architectural and furnishing projects for museums, palaces and luxury hotels all over the world. His wooden furniture carved with gouge and stained with Indian ink, presented at the exhibition of the artists of the SONAMOU Association, shatters the barrier between beauty and functionality.
“30th anniversary retrospective”, an exhibition to discover until February 10, 2022
More than 30 years of work and creations are exhibited, from the minds of about fifty members of the association, some of whom have returned to live in Korea. A great opportunity to visit the Korean Cultural Center!
