REGARDS D'ESTHETES: EXHIBITION AT THE VILLA CAPEYRON BLANC FROM SEPTEMBER 23 TO OCTOBER 8

The OΔK gallery welcomes you to the Villa Capeyron Blanc, for an exhibition “outside the walls” that features the new furniture of Nicolas Aubagnac, the photographs of Ferrante Ferranti and the jewel sculptures of Gabriela Sismann.

Built by the architect Raoul Perrier in Mérignac between 1930 and 1951, the Villa Capeyron Blanc resists any search for unique interpretation. Unclassifiable, this house questions the limits of common categories in art history: from Classicism to the Modern Movement through Art Deco. Absent from the specialized literature, she is the astonishing and unlikely child of these multiple ancestries. This eclectic villa is owned by Pascale and Jean-Pierre Rousseau, collectors and patrons.

Interior designer, Nicolas Aubagnacfirst became known for his lighting creations. The PAD opened its doors in 2002, giving it a more international audience. Since then, his creations can be found in the most beautiful interiors around the world. It now offers new furniture exclusively for the OΔK gallery. Traveling photographer Ferrante Ferrantihas been engaged for thirty years with Dominique Fernandez in a common exploration of the Baroque and the different strata of civilizations, from Syria to Bolivia via Sicily and St. Petersburg. Historian and art merchant recognized for 25 years, Gabriela Sismann has always collected pieces of antique goldsmithery. For a few years, she has been diverting brooches, plates and wafers in silver, vermeil and gold, to make unique jewelry.
