Inspiration: “This important protective symbol of ancient Egypt represents the Eye of the falcon god, Horus. It is also called the Udjat Eye, which symbolizes health and integrity. He is depicted on sarcophagi, pectorals, and eye-shaped amulets that were worn to protect against evil. The stone used, granodiorite, is a magmatic rock frequently used in Egyptian statuary despite its great hardness. The famous Rosetta Stone as well as many ceremonial vessels were fashioned from this material.”
