BETWEEN THE LINES
Unpublished sculptures by Gibus
The Catholic Institute of Toulouse presents Entre les Lignes, an exhibition by the Bordeaux sculptor GIBUS, in collaboration with the OAK Oneofakind Toulouse gallery.
A wood sculptor, the artist’s favourite medium, GIBUS develops a body of work in which the material becomes a space for reflection. The wood, worked by cutting, assembly and tension, retains the traces of gesture and time, revealing a constant dialogue between strength and fragility. The line structures the volume as much as it opens up zones of silence and interpretation.
Inspired by philosophical principles related to balance, impermanence, and the relationship between man and his environment, GIBUS explores what is at stake between forms rather than in their obviousness. His sculptures invite a slow and sensitive reading, in resonance with the architecture and intellectual vocation of the Catholic Institute of Toulouse.
From 23 January to 21 February 2026, in the ICT museum space, 31 RUE DE LA FONDERIE, TOULOUSE
Wednesday to Saturday 3.00 à 6.00 pm
This monographic exhibition will also be an opportunity for the OAK Place Montoulieu Gallery to host a series of new pieces by Gibus from January 23, 2026
