THIS DARK CLARITY THAT FALLS FROM THE STARS: Photographs, artist's furniture and contemporary ceramics

Jean-Baptiste Lainé alias Dainche is the guest of honor of this new exhibition of the gallery OAK Oneofakind Toulouse until July 16, 2022

The OAK Gallery in Toulouse welcomes Dainche, a curious and mischievous artist, for a highlight of his work of sculpture, drawing and engraving.

Elementary gestures and simple materials that reveal under the artist’s fingers the poetry, magic and sometimes melancholy of the nature that surrounds him. A fantastic bestiary, which amuses, fascinates and sometimes worries a spectator lost in his childhood dreams. In search of a story that weaves its thread from drawing to sculpture, Dainche and his “monsters” guide us to the edges of his imagination, between the foliage of a forgotten forest where we still seem to distinguish this dark light that falls from the stars.

For this exhibition, the OAK gallery accompanies the works of Dainche with the refined furniture of Nicolas Aubagnac and Antoine Vignault, the plant sculptures of Clotilde Ancarani and some unpublished paintings of Béatrice Pontacq.
